About Myself

My formal education was received at Montana State University and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle WA majoring in Jazz performance.

Additionally, I studied privately with Jerome Gray, Chuck Deardorf, John Clayton, Bob Magnussen, Dave Friesen, Dave Peck, Randy Halberstadt, Julian Priester and James Knapp.

I've also worked as a studio musician, engineer, post production and producer. While I majored in jazz and performed in jazz combos, I also have playing experience with Fusion groups, Big Band orchestras, Latin ensembles, as well as Rock based, Top 40, and Funk horn bands. I also instructed at Bellevue College in Washington.

Instruments are: Upright bass, Electric 4,5,6,& 7 string basses, fretless as well. I perform as a soloist, using two part inventions, in fusion-jazz-classical idioms.

For those seeking music lessons I serve the entire Treasure Valley from my studio in Star, Idaho. Students are welcome from Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian, Middleton, Nampa, Star and from wherever you wish to travel from. Please call or E-Mail for more information.
